Words for Living

Dedicated to Robert and Carol Hooley

By Their Daughters

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our father, Robert K. Hooley, on September 7, 2021. Carol Hooley, wife, and mother, passed away on August 14, 2008. Their memory shall live forever in our hearts.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2-3)

Introduction

Welcome to Words for Living. This website is dedicated to Robert and Carol Hooley by their loving daughters in honor and recognition of their faithful service to the Lord.

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Exodus 20:12

Pastor Robert HooleyRobert and Carol’s walk with the Lord began in the spring of 1961 when Carol received a miracle healing and Robert rededicated his life to serving the Lord. Carol HooleyThese events set in motion an extraordinary story shared in From Glory to Glory – Handfuls on Purpose, the story of two changed lives and their subsequent service in the ministry. It is a remarkable account of God’s great love, mercy, and sovereignty.

Robert and Carol Hooley founded and pastored two very successful churches in the greater Denver, Colorado, area during their fifty years of service.  Faith Bible Chapel and Bethel Biblical were non-denominational New Testament churches that reached out to all people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Robert Hooley retired from active pulpit ministry in 2015 from Bethel Biblical. Carol Hooley went home to meet her Lord and Savior in 2008.

Words for Living presents hundreds of sermons and teachings from the ministry of Robert Hooley as well as digitized versions of his books and pamphlets. In addition, you will be able to enjoy the personal testimonies of Robert and Carol Hooley and an amazing message by Carol Hooley on What Love Can Do in Your Life. It is a true account of friendship at its best.  The Bible says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man laydown his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) and in Ecclesiastes 4:10, “For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow . . . .”

During our parents’ service to the Lord, they pioneered a message of love and support to the Jewish people and Land of Israel. This message resonated with many other pastors and people across the United States. You will find inspiration in reading about the origination of the renowned International Singers and the beginning of the well-known Israel Awareness Day and Highway to Zion Day annual events in Glory to Glory – Handfuls on Purpose. You will also find a nice selection of photographs in the Gallery.

You will also enjoy reading about a miracle donation to the Israeli soldiers in A Legacy’s Journal. It is the story of three people who represented Bethel Biblical in Israel to present the donation to the Israel Border Guard.  A selection of photographs is included for enjoyment from our parents’ ministry.
