By faith we accept that all scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness
(II Tim 3:16).
One of Robert Hooley’s latest books is about a well-known Bible character, Mephibosheth, Destroyer of Shame. Pastor Hooley possessed a deep personal desire for several years to write about the life of Mephibosheth. Mephibosheth’s example beautifully inspires us about the subject of all subjects: THE LOVE OF GOD. This is an on-going, daily, lifetime challenge facing all of us. It is a very short book but brings a powerful message.
Robert Hooley has also been blessed with a deep and realistic insight regarding the prophetic truths presented in the Word of God, especially in connection with latter-day events involving Israel and the Jewish people. Robert Hooley has authored many books relating to Israel and the Jewish people. Every day we read about Israel and other countries in the Middle East. If you want to understand how current events relate to biblical scripture, these books will provide you with a great understanding.
His book entitled, Jerusalem: A Cup of Trembling, is based upon the belief that Jerusalem is the rightful capital of Israel. The primary purpose of the book is to inspire other Christian churches to offer their support to Israel.
Another book, Zionism In Conflict, was published in Israel by the Association for the Welfare of Soldiers in Israel. It was translated into Hebrew by Rabbi Mordecai Schreiber, who at that time was an official translator for the U.S. State Department.
Of interest is that four of Robert Hooley’s books were published in Hebrew and distributed by the Association for the Welfare of Soldiers in Israel. Before the books could be published and distributed in Israel, he was required to appear before the Rabbinical Board in Jerusalem, Israel. These books could not have been distributed anywhere in Israel without the unanimous consent of the Rabbinical Board.
