Is 58:1-14 In verse 1 God gets our attention; vrs 2 God recounts what outwardly is seemingly OK; In vrs 3, is the people's complaint; But God in vrs 3B & 4, reveals the condition of our hearts; God tells us what a fast should be in vrs 5, and what it is meant to accomplish in vrs 6, (the breaking of every yoke!); In vrs 7, God directs what actions of the heart will be manifestr when fasting, and what subsequent beneficial fruits will be manifest, (vrs 8-12). God also admonishes us about maintaining the Sabbath, (vrs 13), and how He will honor those who honor it, (vrs 14).
