Hab 2:4, God's view of pride; Only God should be lifted up. 1 Kings 18:17-45, from Mt Carmel's victory, God sought to end the drought, but it started with a small cloud (the size of a man's hand)from the sea(vrs44); From this lowly begining came a great rain. As a mans hand has 5 digits, there are 5 characters of the bible that are similarly lowly and humble, but wrough a great thing. The "publican", the lowly tax collector, Lk 18:11 Mary, the mother of Jesus, Lk 1:46-55 - lowly state of thy handmaid Mephibosheth, son of Jonathan - manifestation of humility and love, he interceeded for David, 2 Sam 9:1-13 Uriah the Hitite, put others over himself, 2 Sam 11:1-25 Joab, def = heavy/thick, of sovereignty and courage - traversed the water shaft to regain Jerusalem 2 Sam 5:8 A challenge to youth to put 10 scriptures to memory
