Promotion
We all want to get ahead, James & John sought to get ahead by asking for a position by Jesus's side. Mk 10:37 Ps 75:6, "For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south."; Not by our own strength, vrs 5, "Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck." Ps 29:1&2, Yeild to God you strong willed; vrs 3-9, God wants to move and speak and will do so in His time; vrs 11, is the promise when He moves - "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. 1 Kings 17:9-16 -An Example of How He moves also illustrating that He is to be first. Pr 30:15, an example of when we move. Give Praise, Glory & Honor to Him first, though a situation may appear tough, Ps 29:10, "The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever." Don't wrongly move out of God's will, by excuse of a tradition, - Lk 6:38/Mk7:11
