Every day we read or hear about news relating to the Middle East. Our God is faithful to reveal things to come. This pamphlet shares Bible texts that speak of an imminent outburst of Middle East warfare.

Prophetic Bible scholars often speak about the rise of a coming very powerful ten-nation coalition on the world scene. Bible scripture informs us that its leader will be an Assyrian. Isaiah 10, verses 5 and 7 say it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations, not a few. He is often called the Anti-Christ. He will be a very bold, astute, charismatic leader. This ten-nation entity, under his leadership, will be considerably involved in world events in the years directly preceding the second coming of Jesus Christ to this earth. The Assyrian’s initial goal will be to establish WORLD PEACE.
Events in this hour will result in a loud, very vehement cry for PEACE, PEACE
The purpose of this pamphlet is to share a number of Bible texts which speak of an imminent, fiery outburst of Middle East warfare. This fighting will involve several Islamic powers opposing the nation Israel. Events in this hour will result in a loud, very vehement cry for PEACE, PEACE. It’s my understanding that this uproar will be the catalyst to the formation of the coming ten-nation coalition.
The following biblical references comprise my understanding of the upcoming conflicts. Jerusalem is the rightful starting point. It is most sacred to both Judaism and Islam. I am unaware of any specific text describing major destruction in this immediate hour. The Most High has a jealous love for Jerusalem. He speaks in Zechariah 12:2-3, “Behold I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
Another Jewish prophet, Zephaniah writes in Zephaniah 2: 4 ”For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.” These events would bring much damage to Israel. This chapter contains many end-time truths.
Today, we are made aware of a massive buildup of missiles in Lebanon. The organization Hezbollah supported by Iran and Syria is a fierce foe of Israel. When warfare begins, Israel will respond fiercely. Isaiah 33:9 says, “The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down; Sharon is like a wilderness; and Basham and Carmel shake off their fruits.”
Bible students are very aware of the enmity between Syria and Israel. Jeremiah Chapter 49 Verses 23-27: “Concerning Damascus, Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy! Therefore, her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord of hosts. And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.” This unfulfilled scripture could soon be history.
The Old Testament lands of Ammon, Moab and Edom relate geographically to Jordan in this hour of history. We encourage those interested to read Jeremiah Chapters 48 and 49. Powerful words of judgement will confront Jordan’s stout prideful stand against Israel.
I need to share a scripture text which appears to be a part of the coming military scene. Jeremiah 49:31,32: “Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the Lord, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone. And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil; and I will scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners; and I will bring their calumny from all sides thereof, saith the Lord.” Scripture describes but does not name this wealthy nation.
What about Iran?
They are heavily armed. We are led to believe Iran is linked geographically to Elam of past history. Jeremiah Chapter 49 Verses 35-37: “Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might. And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come. For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the Lord; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:”
In conclusion, after studying the prophetic scriptures, I believe some sudden, powerful Middle East military conflicts are just a fiery spark from erupting. The results will lead to a world-wide cry for peace resulting in the rise of a ten-nation alliance. This entity will be a vital part of events leading up to the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
A final word of encouragement to Bible believers. Our God is faithful to reveal things to come. Some intense, trying times do lie just ahead. But the Church has a blessed hope prior to the darkest tribulation hour of these end times.
We have all heard about the rapture when II Timothy 4:8 says, our Lord will come for those believers who are walking with him and who LOVE HIS APPEARING. LOOK UP!
